Joseph Jackson was born and raised in Modesto, Ca. Joseph grew up playing water polo and swimming. With his natural love of the water the U.S. Nave seemed to be the natural choice for this patriot.
Joseph joined the Navy in 2004, after bootcamp he attended hospital corps “A” school from March- July of 2004. He then attended field medical service school from July-October of 2004. Joseph was then assigned to the 1st Marine Division. Joseph was with the regimental combat team 5 as a Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class serving in Fallujah Iraq when he was hit by an IED in June of 2006. This was the 9th IED attack that Joseph survived but it would be his last. Joseph suffered a traumatic brain injury, and was medically retired from the Navy in 2009.
