Cpl Dan Peterson, born in Chicago Illinois and raised in San Onefre Southern California. He graduated high school in 2007, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps a week after graduating at the age of 17. After bootcamp and Infantry training he was assigned to 3rd Battalion 1st Marines Kilo Company. After doing a MEU SOC tour around South East Asia in 2008 he went through selection for his Battalions Scout Sniper Platoon. Once he was assigned to a team he later deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and during combat operations he stepped on an IED resulting in immediate loss of both legs above the knee with an “open book” pelvic fracture. urethra lacerations and various fragmentation entry points After rehabilitating in various medical facilities he is happy to transition from the tactical life to the offroad community.
