On November 14-17 2012, six combat vets teamed up to race the Baja 1000 to help bring awareness of the struggles of our wounded heroes. The team contacted the Wounded Warrior Project letting them know that all money they could raise would go to the WWP with the hope they could help their fellow soldiers. The team set the very high goal of $50,000 dollars, in the end the fell short raising $40,000. The team entered the 450 and below sportsman class, the only goal for the race was to finish! This is one goal that they surpassed, finishing 2nd in class and ending up on the podium.
